This award is the highest level of service award presented by the APPA. It is presented very sparingly, and only to those who have already received the ‘Fellow of the APPA’ award (or the former ‘Service of Distinction’ award).
It is in recognition of service since the award of ‘Fellow of the APPA’.
Recipients would normally be understood by the great majority of APPA members to have earned this prestigious award for their valuable contribution to education and to the APPA.
The award may be given to:
- current principals
- retired principals
- others (i.e. not principals)
who have given at least 5 years service to the APPA and to education. (Eg. A member of the APPA Council or Executive, a Leading/member of a Committee or Work Force, impact on Education beyond the Cluster).
